Sandbox

With the help of AI, I’m diving into the parts of design I’ve always wanted to master. Parts that once felt highly specialized and out of reach. Now I can learn them the way I learn best, hands-on.

Taste Buds

I designed and built Taste Buds, a potluck planner app with a Supabase backend, real-time updates, Google Places integration, and six-digit email authentication. I brought it to iOS with Capacitor and gave it a distinct personality through a custom design system, 19 original mascots, and carefully tuned motion.

Magnetic drop

Drag and drop details: increased catchment radius, scaled down group on hover, a touch of gravity in the center of the folder. HTML prototyping is awesome.
Interact with it here.

Parastichy loaders

Each new floret in a sunflower turns 137.5° from the one before it, which packs it evenly with no gaps. The spiral arms, called parastichies, usually come in neighboring Fibonacci numbers, like 34 and 55. Inspired by The Algorithmic Beauty of Plants. Alongside it is a set of twelve loading indicators built on the same rule, all running on one shared beat.

Custom Kit toolbar

Kit Bar Men’s home kit opens into jersey, shorts, and socks, the piece selector from a locker room customizer. No keyframes. A damped spring moves one progress value, and the path, the stretch, and the icon all read from it. Inspired by a morph study by Lorenzo Dossi.

Morph Surface

I love thinking about how things change when interacted with. This one is a spring-driven shape morph between five surface states. Each transition runs on real physics, not a fixed duration. Inspired by Google's Material 3 Expressive.

Rock 'n roll

I started with a full turntable experiment, then distilled it into the little player in my portfolio’s navigation. Fewer controls, the same love of vinyl: a moving needle, a spinning record, and a line that follows the music. Explore richly, then decide what earns a place in everyday use.

Interactive Banner

The first vibe-coded piece I shipped end-to-end, from Lovable to Cursor to GitHub to Vercel. Started as a cool interacting header for my portfolio home and became a physics playground for hover, press, edge, and bounce. Every setting is really a velocity, damping, or bounce knob in disguise. An experiment in taking my design craft closer to prototyping interests I previously couldn't. I built and shipped this motion playground end to end, from Lovable and Cursor through GitHub and Vercel, to explore motion, physics, and code. Every control ultimately shapes velocity, damping, momentum, or bounce.

Radial Reveal

A pure-CSS radial transition: tap anywhere and the next screen reveals from your finger. Inspired by Rauno Freiberg's work on radial transitions.

Lines

I’ve always loved how artists like Rembrandt could turn simple lines into light and form. This little crosshatching study brings some of that old-school craft into interactive design.

Drone Survey

Interactive drone flight meant to demo autonomous flight pilots can monitor from the couch.
